These terms govern all bookings and participation in both physical and online events hosted by SIA Studio Miers (hereinafter referred to as “Miers”). By booking or attending an event, you agree to these terms. Miers reserves the right to update these terms, with changes becoming effective upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro.
  • Payment Timing: Payment is taken at the time of booking to secure your spot.
  • Currency: All prices are listed in EUR and include VAT.
  • Price Changes: Prices may change without prior notice. While we do our best to avoid errors, Miers reserves the right to correct mistakes or cancel a booking in the rare case of incorrect pricing.
  • Booking Confirmation: Once your booking is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email and invoice. If you don’t see it right away, please check your spam folder.
  • Event Updates: Any updates or changes to your session will be shared with you by email.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

3.1 Sessions (75 Minutes)

  • Cancellations made at least 12 hours before the session start time are fully refundable.
  • Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the start may result in a partial or no refund.
  • No-shows: If you do not attend your booked session without cancellation, a €5.00 fee will be charged.

3.2 Private Events

  • More than 30 days before the event: No charge.
  • 14–30 days before the event: 50% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 14 days before the event: Full payment required.

3.3 Refund Timing

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

3.4 Use of Offers

  • Discounts, promotions, and special offers are only valid under the terms stated at the time of the offer.
  • Any misuse of offers may result in cancellation of the booking or suspension of access, without refund.

3.5 Event Changes & Force Majeure

  • Facilitator Substitution: If a facilitator is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Miers will do its best to provide a suitable replacement or reschedule the session.
  • Unforeseen Events (Force Majeure): Sessions or events may need to be canceled in rare situations outside of our control, such as illness, government restrictions, or emergencies. If this happens, Miers will inform participants as soon as possible and offer either a reschedule or another fair solution

4. Liability & Responsibility

4.1 General Liability

Miers is not liable for service interruptions (such as power outages, technical errors, or app disruptions) or for unauthorised access to personal data, unless caused by negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.

4.2 Personal Injury

  • Participation in sauna sessions, cold plunges, and related activities is entirely at your own risk. Miers cannot be held responsible for injuries, accidents, or health issues arising from participation, unless caused by our negligence.
  • Guests are strongly encouraged to evaluate their own health status and consult a medical professional if they have any pre-existing conditions (including but not limited to heart conditions, circulatory problems, respiratory conditions, or pregnancy).

4.3 Health & Safety Declaration

By booking and attending a session, you acknowledge that:

  • You are in good physical and mental health.
  • You have consulted a doctor if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
  • You participate voluntarily and accept all associated risks of sauna and cold exposure.

Personal declaration: "I participate in activities at Miers voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. I will not hold Miers liable for any injuries, health complications, or other issues arising from my participation, except where caused by negligence.”

5. Age Restriction

All sessions and events at Miers Social Sauna are for adults aged 18 and over. By booking or attending, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

6.1 GDPR Compliance

Miers complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data collected during bookings and participation is used solely for booking administration, communication, and improving our services.

6.2 Your Rights

Participants have the right to request access to their personal data, as well as correction or deletion, at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@miers.lv

6.3 Confidentiality

All participant information is handled confidentially and is never shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary for providing the service (e.g., payment providers).

6.4 Identity Requirement:

For safety and community reasons, all bookings must be made using your real name and valid contact information. Anonymous participation is not permitted.

7. Guest Conduct & Safety

7.1 Right to Refuse Service

Guests are expected to respect the rules of the space, the guidance of facilitators, and the wellbeing of the community. Misconduct including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, theft, vandalism, violence, or refusal to follow staff instructions may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

7.2 Substance & Alcohol Policy

To keep Miers a safe and supportive space, we ask that all guests arrive clear and sober. Entering under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substances is not allowed. This also applies if you are visibly impaired or still feeling the after-effects. Drinking or using intoxicating substances on the premises is strictly prohibited.

If a guest is suspected of being under the influence, our team may deny entry or ask them to leave. In these cases, bookings are non-refundable. Miers is a place to be present, intentional, and connected, for your own wellbeing and for the community around you.

8. Third-Party Liability

Miers is not responsible for the performance, reliability, or services of any third-party providers (such as payment processors, the YOGO booking app, or other partners). Any issues relating to third-party services should be directed to the provider in question.

9. Complaints & Disputes

9.1 Complaints

If you have feedback or a complaint about our services, please contact us at hello@miers.lv We aim to handle all concerns quickly, fairly, and with care.

9.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes that cannot be resolved directly will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia and settled in the courts of Latvia.
